Senior Nurse
I started my career at a practice in Selby in 2006 where I gained my Animal Nursing Assistant qualification with distinction which then allowed me to train as a Veterinary Nurse at The College of Animal Welfare in Leeds, passing with merit in 2011.
I joined the team at End Cottage in 2012 after moving to Howden. I absolutely love veterinary nursing along with all the challenges in brings.
No day is ever the same and I love caring for all the patients that come to the practice every day. I am particularly interested in anaesthesia, surgical nursing and I am an advocate for feline friendly nursing in practice gaining my ISFM certificate in 2019.
I am currently undertaking the AVA BVNA Anaesthesia course to further my knowledge in this area.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my Husband and two young children, going for walks with our dog and watching our children play sports. At home I have a Jack Russell called fudge and 3 cats, All rescued from end cottage as strays. I also have a guinea pig and a bearded dragon!
